ESL english as a second language
Welcome to the Emmanuel Baptist Church ESL program. If you or someone you know would like instruction in English, please contact our ESL coordinator Aleksandra Todorovich @201 560-6612
Emmanuel Baptist Church welcomes adult students of all nationalities and backgrounds into our English as a Second Language program. We emphasize learning to speak and write everyday English. Depending on the student's level of English, the student may be placed in six different levels:
Basic – no prior or very little knowledge of English
Level 1 – beginner
Level 2 – high beginner
Level 3 – beginner to intermediate
Level 4 – intermediate to advanced
Conversation group open to students who can have more involved conversations in English and who want to improve their listening comprehension and vocabulary
Learn English in small groups working with our volunteer teachers
Cost: $20.00 per book set (student book and workbook, self-study CD included)
Times: Thursday nights, 7:30-9:00 and Tuesday nights, 6:00 – 7:30
